PAGE 1 [R] Panel 1: Grandma, an old creole woman who looks like a skeleton with loosely draped skin, is grinning ear to ear as she stirs a giant pot with steam floating up hypnotically. Despite Grandma’s eerie appearance, it would appear the kitchen was prepped for a lovely dinner, because behind her pot stirring is a table set for three, plates set on an old worn but cared for table. SFX: humhumhum Panel 2: Grandma leans back and calls out to the children in her house, one hand coming to her mouth to amplify her voice, bony knuckles clack together.
